It's day 8 of your vacation and you have seen and done it all. You are sitting on a train and notice *sniff sniff * you are starting to get that stinky travel funk...you know the one...

No need to bathe yourself or your clothing in perfume or other strongly scented chemicals, just use vodka! I came across this travel tip and it has been very helpful for quick de-funking on the go. Spritzing a vodka mixture on your clothes has a sanitizing effect and it dries odorless and colorless!

Simply fill a small travel sized spray bottle with pure vodka (we are talking bottom shelf, pure, non flavored) and spray the clothes. Alternatively, you could mix 1/2 vodka and 1/2 water to dilute the solution a bit or you could even add 1-2 drops of your favorite essential oil for a subtle scent. However, I would be very cautious using anything but 100% vodka on sensitive materials like silk/wool or other synthetic fabrics as this could stain or damage the fabrics.

Concentrate on spraying the "hot zones" like armpits on the part that touches the skin for best results.

There you have it! A quick and easy way to freshen up on the go.
