As an Emergency medicine healthcare provider, I often think of worst case scenarios (it's just the nature of the beast!) This includes possible "issues" that might come up while traveling. Always be prepared, am I right?!
Thankfully, I have only needed these medications a handful of times, but have come across situations in the middle of nowhere where family or fellow travelers may need some help. I now pack this handy little pill holder on every trip no matter where/how long the trip is. The larger version holds everything I need (and then some) but is still compact enough to toss into my suitcase or backpack without taking up too much space. I do have a much smaller version that I keep in my car, work bag and purse (holds 3 types of medications)
So, here is the list of medications in my travel kit!
Ibuprofen
Tylenol
Benadryl
Imodium
Pepcid
Sudafed
Nausea medication (prescription or Dramamine). *PS- You can also try this handy trick for nausea!
I also include any prescription medications or vitamins taken regularly. This medication kit, in addition to the travel first aid kit I put together (stay tuned for that post...) keep me comfortable and prepared for most things that traveling can throw at me.
Stay safe (and healthy) out there!
